Two Front Teeth and Wisdom

Seeing a young child, two front teeth missing and not yet grown in, makes us wonder about the sidewalks along 68th Street on the short strip between Camelback Road and Indian School Road. While we cannot whine about what we want from Santa Claus, we can say that all we want from this Council is two small sidewalks, one on the left and one on the right and hope they do the job we elected them to do and finish the job our City has already started. Get the sidewalk done in this coming fiscal cycle. Let us be able to safely walk the area sooner rather then later.

.Which reminds us of wisdom. Our Council starts its working session to work through the budget today. While we ask for their wisdom, we also ask that before they start their deliberaations that they do the following: Visit the 68th Street site, try to walk it, drive it north to south and south to north, understand the dangers and problems the area presents. Act with wisdom to protect this project, make sure that it is included in the 25/26 fiscal budget. Be wise, DO THE RIGHT THING.

BUILD A SIDEWALK, SAVE A LIFE!

  2. Please!!! We have been waiting for years to get a sidewalk. IT is so dangerous from Camelback to Indian School to walk. Plus, we also need something on Exeter and 68th to moderate traffic since it is hard for people to turn from Exeter on to 68th now that they got rid of the two lanes! Its frustrating to feel ignored by the city.
