Tonights the night…….

Tonight the City Council will consider the findings of the Ethics Panel and the conclusion to their investigation. We all know that the panel concluded that Councilman Graham was GUILTY !!!, and now it is up to the Council to act on that ruling.While we cannot anticipate what action they may or may not take, we wish them good luck with a difficult matter.

Councilman Graham has been heard saying that this is “all politics”, nothing could be further from the truth. This is a issue that the panel concluded was a crossing of the lines and the chain of command by the councilor. As one of the Judges said, “Graham’s words are contradicted by the facts”. Regardless of what the council concludes is an appropriate response, we are hoping that Councilman Graham’s energy can be channeled as a force for good , that he can take this lesson and apply it with vigor to positively deal with the City’s business. Mostly, we hope that he will become a champion for the successful development of the road and sidewalk along 68th Street.

Governing is a team sport, it needs everyone to pull together for the good of the city, our city. Most importantly, we hope that our leadership will take a long term view of the City needs and not sacrifice the strategic position of Scottsdale for short term political gain, we are more then that.
