Last night was one for which we are most grateful. Our City Council under the leadership of Mayor Borowsky voted unanimously to approve the tentative budget for the fiscal year 2025/26. The redevelopment of 68th Street between Camelback and Indian School Roads is included in that budget. It is now subject to the final approval in early June.
It is too early to celebrate, as there are many more steps to be taken before construction would be starting and we will all need to stay vigilant to make sure it gets over the finish line. Regardless, a mini celebration should be taking place. We are thankful to the council and staff for getting us this far, and look forward to working collaboratively to make sure it gets done. So we are putting a bottle of bubbly on the ice for a big celebration when we can finally safely take the walk. We will start a countdown after the next and final budget vote.

Keep up the good work, thank you for all the support, it really made the difference.
