It is easy to say that everything is politics,, but sometimes its not, it is just about doing the right thing.. We have been pondering the idea that some members of the leadership team at the City Council may not support a sidewalk along 68th Street. How does the right thing become political? We do not know and cannot explain it.
We are hoping and also asking those who may be questioning “why” they should support this strip of concrete and the road improvements that go along with it, to dig a little deeper before reaching a conclusion.
Think about the Mama and her little ones, pushing a stroller along that way. Think about that visually impaired and blind person trying to get home. Think about visitors trying to reach the canal for a jog. Think about someone trying to walk to Old Town from the mall or Pavoreal or Optima. Think about the cyclist biking to work. Think about the auto trying to get to the airport. These are but a few of the multitude who will use this passage Help them to do it safely.
The cause is noble, support what is right, it is not about politics. DO THE RIGHT THING !!!
