In the battle between a Gladiator and a Lion, there will be a certain winner, one of them will live to fight another day. The result is random. In the meeting between a moving vehicle and a pedestrian, the outcome is certain, crash bim boom……,silence. The pedestrian maimed or killed , a tragedy for a family and an avoidable loss.
Why would a city councilor or city council say they support roads, we all support roads, while excluding the other modalities for getting around, cycle, foot? The council is elected to serve all citizens, all modalities.,!
Would any member of this City Council let their children walk or play in the traffic? Most certainly the answer will be a resounding NO!
Support the 68th STreet Sidewalk project, if you have not yet done so, write the council at citycouncil@scottsdaleaz.gov, let them know your thoughts. This project is to important to ignoore and we cannot afford for this danger to continue.
