The US Department of Justice, ADA

It was shocking to realize that a city councilor had caused the 68th STreet Sidewalk to be removed from the 2025/26 Capital budget. Not only did it disregard prior commitments made by the City of Scottsdale, but it ignored the real reason for this project in the first place; enabling all citizens to traverse the area between Indian School and Camelback roads along 68th street. This means ALL CITIZENS, including those of us with disabilities. So, in order to underscore its importance and insure that the City Council take this project seriously, we have filed a complaint with The U>S> Department of Justice under the ADA to protect our rights. We will not stand by idly to see this project discarded. This must be done now, not in five or ten years, NOW ! This project when completed will benefit generations, we look to the Council for its leadership to get it done. DO THE RIGHT THING !!!
