Welcome to the 68th Street Sidewalk Association. We are a group of concerned citizens living in Scottsdale who are committed to making sure that the City of Scottsdale completes a strectch of sidewalk on 68th Street between Camelback Road and Indian School Road. This highly trafficked street presents a serious danger to any pedestrian trying to traverse the area which connects the neighborhood to Old Town, The Fashion Square Mall, The Canal and public transportation along the two major east west roads. This short stretch is also a connect street connecting ultimately to the Botanical Gardens and Highway to the south. This is a missing link in an otherwise well developed infrastructure for cyclists, vehicles and pedestrians.
The 68th Street Sidewalk Association was formed through the shared experience of two folks living in the area who had the unfortunate experience to be on the receiving end of a Scottsdale City Transportation planning department oversight.
